Daal Pakora

Pakoras are usually served as snacks or appetizers. They are also often served with chai to guests arriving to attend Indian wedding ceremonies.


100g of washed mung beans
3 heaped tablespoons of finely diced kale
Quarter teaspoon of turmeric & crushed black pepper
Chilli and salt to taste
Tablespoon of rice flour
Half teaspoon of dried fenugreek leaf
Chopped fresh coriander
Oil for frying


Soak the mung beans for 3 hours
Drain and then puree mixture until its a thick paste
Add the Kale
Add spices and mix well
Add the rice flour and fenugreek leaf
Gently Fry until golden at 195c
